Good evening, beretta Sr. & Jr. Happy Friday. Sweet thumb safety trigger on that nighthawk. On my rock island tac ultra fshc 45acp that you all saw on my profile page here. I actually had my gunsmith cut down both thumb safeties bout the same size, and he tighten up the safety springs on it. I was having issues engaging the left thumb safety. I go shooting hand thumb under the safety, not over. So i had him do those two things to it. Now. 👌. If you two haven't checked out rock island tac ultra fshc 45acp and 10mm pistols. Do so. 👌

Beretta Sr and Jr... Understood totally and kind of agree although my July 2024 Production Alchemy isn't that as poorly fit as yours! We at Sugarbush Armory, Attica NY are a Nighthawk and Wilson Combat Dealer and are seeing some phenomenal firearms delivered to us from both company's! That Alchemy Prime 1911 was kind of an afterthought after watching one of their video's and one of yours as your Dad was initially high on the brand at first receipt! I did get a pretty good price on it from the original owner (unfired and only unwrapped for photo's wanting the same in 9mm! I always defer to you two for purchase advice and value your opinions + or -. Thanks

Nice find there, and even though I have plenty of .40s, I have to admit I here the siren song of a 96A1 calling me. And I appreciate your comments on the effectiveness of the round. It's amazing to me how so many people made the leap from the FBI's determination that the 9 mm chamberings were the best compromise for their organizational needs to .40 S&W sucks and doesn't do anything well. (I knew someone who sustained a peripheral hit from one, and he was very definitely of the opinion that the .40 HP that hit him very nearly destroyed his whole arm despite a no-bone-struck wound. The scarring it left behind was certainly no joke.)

Love your classic 225, my 1st sig I bought as a kid was a P6, one of my favorite/best shooting guns I have owned. Sadly I let it slip away, it was so cheap back then I kick myself on that one, probably paying double to get one back in the stable. Not a huge round count but 8+1 and we’ll placed shots and a spare mag I’d feel confident carrying one again.

PPQ has the best trigger. I like the PDP but don’t see any real reason to buy one.

How does this S&W 1911 compare to a Bul 1911.I've held a Bul and it feels great and the slide is so smooth.The one that I saw was about $400-$500 cheaper at that time but that was a year or more ago.

I’ve tried a few different grips. Hogue bantams,Altamont Boot and 2 different Pachmayrs. I ended up going with Pachmayr Presentation Compac. These grips eat the recoil.

Why would anyone be crazy enough to carry a Wilson Combat 1911 for EDC knowing that if they have to use it for self defense that they will NEVER see that gun again once the cops come?And you can’t say because it’s reliable,Glocks are less than a third the cost of a WC,but hey,it’s your $$$.
